A KeySpan spokesperson says "no final decision has been made" yet regarding whether to appeal or pay a fine levied by the Massachusetts Department of Telecommunications and Energy following a security breach at the company's storage facility in Lynn this past August. The Daily Item reports that KeySpan must decide on a course of action by Jan. 8. According to a DTE official, the $250,000 fine is the largest that the agency has ever imposed on a local distribution company.
