McNulty resigned yesterday evening (h/t WSJ), blazing the trail for AG AG. Here's his letter stating his reasons. (Here's where this post's title comes in.) Too bad his resignation doesn't take effect in time to remove the stain of the other Monica problem. Unlikely remedy: bringing in Comey to the DAG (preferably) AG position.
