According to Reuters, last Wednesday Indonesia's Constitutional Court upheld the an Indonesian law that limits polygamy to cases in
which a first wife is childless, or terminally ill or unable to fulfill her sexual obligations and where that wife gives her consent. (See prior posting.) The court held that the law is
consistent with both the country's Constitution and the tenets of Islam (that allows multiple marriages only if all wives are treated fairly).
