The Rhode Island House of Representatives passed a bill yesterday that would require developers to seek approval from the General Assembly and affected municipalities for emergency
response plans submitted for LNG projects in the state. The Herald News (Fall River, Mass.) reports that a similar measure was proposed last year and was passed by the House before being rejected by the Rhode Island Senate.
