A pilot carbon capture plant is in the works for next year as a major Japanese company looks to move towards clean-energy. Toshiba Corp. will build a carbon capture plant at their coal-fired power station in Omuta City. Construction for the plant will begin early next year, with the goal to be in operation by August. The total cost of the plant will be roughly $11 million, and it will capture 10 metric tons of carbon dioxide per day.
