Only the formality of full Senate confirmation stands between Troy Paredes and the SEC following unanimous approval from the Senate Banking Committee. Congratulations, Troy. UPDATE: [Someone claiming to be] Chairman Cox points out in the comments that Troy was in fact confirmed by the full Senate last week. Indeed, it is true. Not much fanfare, but a great development, nonetheless.

Former Glom guest blogger, Troy Paredes, was confirmed by the Senate as an SEC Commissioner on Friday. Sorry that I am so late in posting this. I had an advanced Google news search scouring the internet for this story ever since Troy's nomination, but I just kept forgetting to blog it. Our delay should not be taken as a reflection of our excitement. Congrats, Troy!
