The woman abandoned the vessel when it was determined that it was going to sink and although she was rescued by the Coast Guard in the Atlantic, according to Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class David Weydert, Claudene Christian, 42, was unresponsive when she was pulled from the water Monday evening.
