Washington Times is reporting that early investigations are looking at a possible failure of the proximity warning system and safety mechanism.Like I said before, a failure like this is not good for Metro, but if the NTSB finds a failure in this control system, much of Metro's operations are put at risk since much of the minute-by-minute control of Metro's trains are run by computers and this sensor system.
