The class action complaint does not name Madoff or any other purported Madoff insider, but names Rye Select Broad Market Fund, L.P. and the entities that controlled and managed that fund including MassMutual and its subsidiaries Tremont Partners, Inc., Tremont Group Holdings, Inc., Oppenheimer Acquisition Corp. and various executives of the Tremont entities. Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania filed a complaint (here) in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Meridian Diversified Fund, a Cayman Island "fund of funds" that had invested in the Rye Select Broad Market XL Fund managed by Tremont Partners, which in turn had invested significant assets with Madoff.
