  The opening work, Wagner's Siegfried Idyll, performed with a slightly larger string section than the composer called for, showed some signs of scrappiness in the opening pages, including one surprisingly dissonant bar in the strings, but things settled down and ultimately the performance was quite satisfying - especially the wind solos.
