Governor Tom Corbett has signed the natural gas regulation bill. The bill imposes an impact fee on producing natural gas wells. The bill also places limits on gas drilling rig locations. It also has language promoting construction of the hugh ” gas cracker” plant in Pennsylvania. [read post]

A thirty (30) mile scenic trail project in Susquehanna County Pennsylvania may be the site of a natural gas gathering pipeline. Trail planners and officials are negotiating to lease the scenic trail for use by a pipeline company. The proceeds would create significant funds to develop the long awaited trail project.
