Three children were injured in a single-car crash involving an SUV in Dallas.  Authorities say that the SUV hit a light pole Thursday night.  The force of the accident caused one child, a five year old girl, to be ejected from the vehicle.  Three other children were also in the vehicle, and two of them were injured.  The driver, who is believed to be the father of at least one of the children, fled the scene and is now sought by authorities.  Two of the injured children were taken to an area… [read post]

View Larger Map Escondido Crash on I-15 A multi-car crash left wreckage on I-15 near Deer Springs Road on Monday morning, September 23rd. The crash, which involved an SUV towing a trailer, happened just before 5:00 a.m. All lanes had to be shut down, and a Sig alert was issued. ABC Channel Ten News reports that a Ford Expedition was pulling a trailer when it jackknifed on Interstate 15 near Escondido. A Flower Mound man was killed in a rollover accident in Oklahoma.  Authorities say that David W. Zondor was driving on Oklahoma 89 in the southern part of that state when his car left the road for an unknown reason.  The car rolled over twice and threw the victim from the vehicle. Two people were injured early Wednesday morning in a wreck on eastbound I-30 near downtown Dallas.  Investigators report that the two cars were traveling in the far left lane of the highway when the front car suddenly stopped.  The rear car slammed into the front car, injuring the driver and passenger in the front car.  Noone in the rear car as injured.  Investigators believe that rainy conditions may have played a part in this accident. A Cadillac was stalled in traffic on the northbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway near the Trinity Mills Road exit when another vehicle crashed into its rear.  The Cadillac was pushed into a retaining wall and burst into flames.  A Dallas police officer was near the accident and is credited with saving the driver of the Cadillac.  The officer broke the passenger side window and pulled the driver out of the burning car to safety.  The driver, who is expected to survive, was taken to an area… [read post]

An infant boy is dead and his mother recovering in the hospital following a crash last evening.  After arriving on the scene of the crash, IMPD found 7-month-old Yeshua Stafford on the ground near a guardrail.  It is believed that the child was in a child restraint seat found in the vehicle.  A second vehicle was found in a ditch, and witnesses described seeing two people fleeing the scene of the accident.  That vehicle is reported to have been traveling at a high rate of speed… [read post]

Former IMPD officer David Bisard pleads guilty in his second DUI case.  As you may recall, Bisard was involved in an accident in 2010 that claimed the life of one and severely injured two others.  His BAC registered at .22 percent.  He is currently serving a 13 year sentence in that case.  Today, the judge over the case sentenced him to one year and then suspended the sentence.  Bisard pleaded with the judge that his family desperately needed him at home following the… [read post]

A woman has died from injuries she sustained when she was hit by a hit and run driver on North Central Expressway.  The woman was hit by a pickup truck when she was trying to cross the highway near its intersection with Plano Road.  The pickup driver did not stop.  He was caught a few miles further up the highway, and has been charged with failure to stop and render aid.  The woman was taken to an area hospital for treatment where she later died from her injuries. Two people were injured today in a wreck with a box truck on Lovers Lane.  The individuals were riding in a Ford Taurus and were in the left hand turn lane of Lovers on the overpass of Central Expressway / U.S. 75, preparing to turn onto the southbound feeder road of the highway, when a box truck was traveling alongside.  The truck sideswiped the Taurus, forcing the car to the left.  Four people were riding in the car when the accident occurred.  Two escaped injury.  The two victims were taken… [read post]

A Grandview man died of injuries he sustained in a rollover crash near Cleburne that occurred Sunday.  Authorities say that the accident occurred near the intersection of FM 1434 and County Road 1224.  The victim, Michael Rollins, was traveling eastbound on FM 1434 in a pickup truck when it left the right side of the roadway surface.  Rollins apparently over-corrected and the vehicle rolled over.  Rollins was ejected from the vehicle.  He was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in… [read post]
