Yet another driver has fallen victim to a police chase car accident that they were never originally a part of. The crash occurred just after 10:30 last night in Lacey after a 35-year-old woman ran a stop sign in an intersection. A deputy then attempted to pull her over, and conduct a field sobriety test. Three children lost their mother recently in a wrong-way driving crash. A 36-year old mother was driving on Santa Margarita Parkway in Mission Viejo when a man in a pickup truck struck her minivan in a head-on collision. The children are between ages 7 and 14 years old. Early this Sunday morning in Phoenix, Arizona, a Phoenix police officer was killed, becoming the victim of a hit-and-run car accident. Phoenix Police Department spokesman, Sergeant Steve Martos, stated that the crash occurred at about 3:36 a.m. in the area of 51st Avenue and Cambridge Avenue, as officers were investigating a DUI case in the area. Who Will Most Likely Be Named in the Resulting Lawsuits? On Saturday, May 18th, 2013 an elderly driver plowed his 1997 Cadillac into a crowd of dozens of people at the Hikers Parade at the Trail Days festival, an annual celebration of the Appalachian Trail held in Damascus, VA.  The cause of the accident is believed to be the result of a medical condition of the driver. Today, a Fort Pierce woman was killed at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport after being struck by a Miami Cruise Charter Bus. Officials reported that 68-year-old Cheryl Bazillius fell after exiting her SUV while waiting at the terminal for her husband. After falling, she was struck by the Miami Cruise Charter Bus. A woman recently picked up a pedestrian who had been hit by a drunk driver from the side of the road, put him in her car and then drove him to the hospital. “Aw, that’s nice,” you might think. As a result of driving under the influence, 27-year-old Justin John Wood caused an accident that he stated he does not remember. Wood hit a vehicle from behind around 6:50 p.m. on Friday, May 18th at 1500 NW 34th St. causing over $10,000 in damage. 38-year-old Marlon Brown died on the morning of May 8th after being ran over by DeLand patrolman James Harris. First, Brown was pursued by a Volusia County Sheriff's Office deputy for not wearing his seatbelt. Once Brown fled, the deputy radioed dispatchers reporting the situation. The report was intercepted by officer Ferrari who followed Brown after activating his blue lights into an open lot behind 901 S. Delaware. A couple of weeks ago, we reported the story of a bicyclist who was killed on East Marginal Way South when he was involved in a collision with a semi-truck. That accident caught the attention of Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn. College campuses are often brimming with bicycling students, especially in Washington State. Between bicyclists, pedestrians and cars, there is plenty of opportunity for accidents to occur. Everyone today knows that it is illegal to drive with a blood alcohol content (BAC) above .08. The laws impose this limit to ensure that people do not drive when they are too impaired to react quickly, to pay attention and to make safe choices behind the wheel. There has been several incidents this year where a driver jumped the curb and crashed into a building in downtown Hinsdale. They all occurred on the same block of the village's downtown district, one in March and two other similar accidents occurred in February. Three girls in Midvale, Utah were rushed to the hospital after being hit by a car. The driver could have easily prevented the accident from happening – had he simply been paying attention to the road, and not his cell phone. On Thursday night in Gilbert, Arizona, a woman was arrested for manslaughter in connection with a car accident that took the life of a man who was working on a broken down car on the side of the freeway.
