Three-Car Crash West of Santa Maria A multi-car crash injured three people on Monday morning. The wreck happened just west of Santa Maria before 6:30 a.m. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, first responders were quickly on the scene. Two weeks ago, I received a call from a man who was struck by a taxicab while crossing a street in Manhattan. The accident left him badly hurt and an ambulance took him to Bellevue Hospital where the emergency room staff diagnosed a leg fracture that may require surgery. While the man is receiving the best possible medical care for his injuries, he is understandably upset about the accident and wants to hold the driver responsible. A Long Island businessman drove along the Long Island Expressway towards his office on the Route 110 corridor in Huntington. Traffic slowed and the man eased his car to a stop behind the traffic, a pick-up truck hit him from behind, damaging his car and injuring his neck and back. Chickashanews.com is reporting that a two people recently lost their lives in a car accident that occurred at 7:48 a.m. on State Highway 76 about two-tenths of a mile south of 260th.
