Abstracts have been posted for the papers presented at Current Legal Issues Colloquium 2011 – Law and Language, held 4-5 July 2011 at University College London Faculty of Laws. The papers concern a range of current issues in the fields of linguistics, text analysis, rhetoric, and textual interpretation, all as applied to legal texts.

IRIS 2012: Internationales Rechtsinformatik Symposion, is being held 23-25 February 2012, at Universität Salzburg, in Salzburg, Austria.
Professor Dr. Erich Schweighofer of Universität Wien Arbeitsgruppe Rechtsinformatik is the General Chair of the conference.
The theme of the conference is “Transformation juristischer Sprachen.”

Video is now available for many programs of SMiLE 2010: Social Media in Law Enforcement Conference, held 7-9 April 2010 in Washington, DC. Many of the conference programs deal with legal information or communication.

Proceedings have been published for JURIX 2011: The 24th International Conference on Legal Knowledge and Information Systems, held 14-16 December 2011, at the University of Vienna Centre for Legal Informatics.
The proceedings volume is: K. M. Atkinson (Ed.), Legal Knowledge and Information Systems - JURIX 2011: The Twenty-Fourth Annual Conference (IOS Press, 2011).
Abstracts for most papers appear to be available free of charge, whereas access to full text of papers appears to require a fee.

The legal informatics conference calendar has now been updated. Event data in iCalendar (.ics) format have been added for many events. (Event data for more events will be added in the coming weeks.)
