The U.S. State Department will ultimately decide if a man arrested in Oldham County on international terrorism charges will be extradited to Australia.
50-year old Paul Peters was arrested by federal agents and Australian authorities at the home of his ex-wife in Buckner on August 13. Peters is accused of strapping a fake bomb to the neck of an 18-year-old girl, the daughter of an Australian businessman, and leaving a ransom note.

An attorney from north London will be extradited to the United States to face corruption charges following a ruling today by the High Court in London.
A London court previously granted the U.S. extradition request, but Tesler appealed the decision.
Jeffrey Tesler, 62, is accused by the American authorities of involvement in an international conspiracy to channel bribes to senior officials in Nigeria.

A U.S. extradition request for the son-in-law of Nelson Mandela on rapes charges has been thrown out by a South African magistrate.
Tefo Myambo said there was “clearly no substance” to the 17-year-old charges faced by Dr. Isaac King Amuah and that “even by the standards of the Americans themselves,” he never would have been convicted.

Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to reject a reality TV producer’s petition to overturn an extradition order on allegations that he killed his wife during a vacation in Mexico.

Niger’s foreign minister said his country remains firm in its decision not to extradite Saadi Gadhafi, the son of ousted Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi.
Extradition of the former professional footballer is sought by both Interpol, which issued a “red alert” for Saadi Gadhafi, and Libya’s National Transitional Council, the Daily Maverick of South Africa reported Tuesday.

A Kenyan woman allegedly caught on camera assaulting a bed-ridden 90-year-old man for urinating on himself risks being handed back to US authorities to stand trial.
The state has authorised that Anastasia Oluoch be extradited and has ordered that she stays in prison till she is handed over to the US authorities.
