The jury awarded a plaintiff in an asbestos lawsuit $7.25 million in his case against RSCC Wire & Cable. The lawsuit was filed by the family of a shipbuilder that died due to mesothelioma. The family was won survival damages and wrongful death damages. Asbestos is used in many products, including insulation. The fibers have been linked to asbestosis and mesothelioma. Understandably, to be notified of the death of a loved one in a crash is a huge shock. Along with the anguish comes a host of questions about what could possibly have gone wrong. Big Rig Crash Leaves a Sticky Mess after the Wreck A big rig hauling some Honey crashed and ended up on its side. The police had to close all the lanes so they could hopefully prevent the nectar from leaking into the storm drains. Surviving Family Members Sue Over Tow Truck Crash A tow truck accident cause a fire hydrant to be sheared and the truck had crashed into a 7- Eleven store. A New Port Richey man died Sunday night after he was struck by a motorcycle in Pasco County. The 34-year-old was hit around 9 p.m. by a motorcycle driven by a 28-year-old Spring Hill man after walking into the inside westbound lane on State Road 54 east of Rita Lane, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. A normal day at the Auburn Mall in March of 2011 turned into a scene that will play over and over in the minds of Mark DiBona’s parents for many years. Young Man Loses His Life in Train Accident A teenage girl was severely injured when she was hit by a freight train. In Irving on Saturday night, Crystal Suniga, 30, got extremely drunk and crashed her sports untility vehicle into parked cars on East Pioneer Drive. She flipped the SUV over. Tragically this killed her two sons, 14-year-old Angel Reyes and 10-year-old Ricardo Hernandez. According to a news report on, Suniga also injured her other two children in the vehicle, 12-year-old daughter and 16-year-old son. A 66-year-old Inverness woman was killed last week after trying to cross U.S. 41 near Mossy Oak Drive around 8 p.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman stepped into oncoming traffic and was struck by  Ford Ranger driven by a 72-year-old Floral City woman. A 1-year-old girl survived a near-drowning accident in a backyard pool Saturday morning, according to officials.
