View Larger Map A 22-year-old man from San Luis Obispo was killed after being struck by a vehicle on the 4300 block of Higuera in San Luis Obispo, CA. The police identified the man as Kent Boswell of San Luis Obispo. According to KSBY the driver of the vehicle that hit Kent Boswell was a 25-year-old man from Arroyo Grande. The accident took place at about 5:00 am on Saturday morning. The San Luis Obispo Police Department say they do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved.    [read post]

View Larger Map Fatal Crash involving Waste Management Truck in Escondido A crash involving a pickup truck and a Waste Management truck took the life of one person in Escondido. The wreck occurred on Centre City Parkway at Ivy Dell. This collision happened in an unincorporated area of Escondido, north of El Norte Parkway and east of I-15. Fatal Multi-Car Crash on I-8 A crash that happened on Saturday afternoon took the life of one person and injured at least two others. As we reported in a recent blog post, the Dallas City Council was set to decide whether to agree to a settlement in the wrongful death lawsuit brought by the family of car accident victim Annie Reyes. The family of a man who died while in county custody is planning to file a Texas wrongful death lawsuit. The victim was Jesus Manuel Galindo, an inmate in the Reeves County Detention Center. Marine Killed in Mission Valley Crash On Saturday, an active-duty Marine was killed in a crash on Interstate 8 and Mission Valley. A man, who was walking his dog on the intersection of Prosperity Church Road and Loganville Drive, was struck by a vehicle and later died from his injuries.  The driver of the vehicle is being charged with driving while impaired (DWI).  The dog was taken to Animal Care and is recovering from a broken hind leg. The family of a Dallas, Texas, motorcycle officer has filed a lawsuit against Hillary Clinton over the officer’s death two years ago while escorting Clinton through the city.
