In the past I have been critical of California's SB 863 as the product of Big Self Insured Business (BSIB) and Big Labor (BL) because those constituents simply do not represent the interests of the majority of employers and workers in the state.What was negotiated in SB 863 is good for BSIB and BL, but the impact on other employers and workers was simply not considered, or was at best dismissed as inconsequential.And the unintended consequences of trying to control… [read post]

Prakash's QME status was terminated in 2011 for not reporting that he held an ownership interest in the medical practice.Prakash was eventually found guilty of MediCare fraud for participating in a scheme that falsified patient records and billings.All of which shows that you can ban the criminal activity, but you can't remove the criminals.
