11-21-2008 Michigan:The Michigan State Police announced today that 196 non-compliant sex offenders have been arrested and another 682 additional arrest warrants were requested during the state's fifth coordinated sex offender sweep.The statewide sweep, which was conducted from Oct. 21 through 31, involved over 90 federal, state and local law enforcement agencies conducting residence checks on 3,194 registered offenders.Dubbed Operation Verify, the initiative… [read post]
