If even a portion of this could be forced back on to the banks because it was not properly transferred to the investor trust (called an “investor put-back demand”) the originator bank (who is likely to now be the servicer bank) could be in dire financial straits as the debt associated with the defaulted loans would greatly exceed working capital of banks.
