It's bad enough to have to fight the other side; to have to fight off lawyers on your own side as well makes it truly a hassle.Second, on the merits, I don't disagree with Judge Bea's holding that there's no appellate jurisdiction here or his refusal to grant extraordinary mandamus relief. The case was complicated both because it was a "he said/she said" case about what Escriba requested when she took off work as well as because lots of the supervisors at Foster Farms don't speak Spanish. [read post]
