  Antitrust, they say (I paraphrase and oversimplify but not by much), is in low demand in the legal academy because with the exception of a few big names cases from time it's a field of little practical importance, there is not tremendous demand from students, and it's a less intellectually interesting field than other areas of commercial law that have thus far had less exposure to economic and empirical thinking.
