That was an area which had a minimum of 16 inches of rain from April to June, and he concluded it was detrimental to the supply of nitrogen available to the corn. 1) A 20 bushel per acre yield loss on average in Illinois, costing 150 million bu. 2) A 15 bushel yield loss in Indiana in the affected area. 3) An estimated 500 million bushel total loss in IL, MO, IN, IA, KS, KY, AR & TN. 4) That loss followed a 500 million bushel Midwestern loss in 2008 from N loss.
