I guess maybe to some people in Europe, it's not so silly to have laws that exclude the descendents of the former royal and noble families from becoming heads of state, but it seems rather silly to me that someone who can run for a country's Parliament and therefore theoretically become its Prime Minister and actual head of government cannot also run for President and become the country's honorary public figurehead:A descendant of the Habsburgs is taking Austria to the European Court… [read post]
