A jury acquitted former Miami Dade Sergeant Allen Cockfield on Friday of the misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty for kicking his canine partner to death during a training session.Earlier in the week the state conceded to the JOA argument on the felony charge of killing a police dog.Kudos to defense attorney Doug Hartman.
