PORT ARTHUR – In May, Tiffany Hamilton was a candidate for Port Arthur City Councilmember for District 2, losing the race by three votes.A month later, she filed suit against the winner, “Cal” Jones, asserting a number of eligible voters were not allowed to vote by election officials on the “improper” grounds that the voters did not live in the proper voting district.A status conference was held on the case earlier this month.
