As to the most important dimension of conference attendance, on the other hand, I’ve already seen previous Concurring Opinions guest bloggers Bill Burke-White and Anupam Chander, and am now sitting across a table (in the bar, of course) from David Zaring – who is furiously typing on his laptop, presumably writing a post for The Glom. Another issue, and the more interesting issue in my view (and perhaps in David Zaring's view), regarding the Fed bail-out of AIG involves the equity stake in AIG that the Fed claims to be getting in return for the $85 B credit facility. [read post]

For what it is worth (not much, as I am no bankruptcy scholar), my first instinct is to agree with David Zaring's analysis: Since 1937, takings-based objections to bankruptcy dispositions are generally doomed. [read post]
