Interesting news from Stanford Univeristy by AP sports writer Doug Ferguson, at least for yours truly, as a Stanford alumnus.The good news is that super-golfer Michelle Wie has been accepted to school at Stanford University, where Tiger Woods played his college golf (for two years before turning pro).The bad news is that Michelle Wie is not eligible for NCAA golf competition at Stanford, having turned pro in 2005 and thus of course no longer being able to play in amateur… [read post]
