Cameron and Shapps have trailed a consultation paper to be published as early as tomorrow with a "plan to end lifetime council tenancies" (Inside Housing and The Guardian) and a "home swap scheme to help tenants move" (Today Programme and Inside Housing) (hat-tip to Katie Brown (HLPA junior group), J, and Francis Davey - e-mail's been buzzing this morning - as well as he who cannot be named who tipped me off about this announcement a week or so ago). you ask.As Francis Davey has cogently pointed out, the threat that an ISP will be stuck with all the costs of the court action (see 97B(4) above in bold) will effectively nullify almost any ISP putting up resistance, when notified to block a site. [read post]

However Francis Davey on the Nearly Legal blog has beaten me to it.It only remains therefore for me to refer you to the original posting by Pain Smith, and the subsequent posting on Nearly Legal.As I said in my comment on the Nearly Legal blog, my view has always been that an agent is responsible for ensuring that the deposit is dealt with properly if the deposit is paid to him (irrespective of whether he is acting on a let only basis or a management basis).
