This is big news.I don't know if MLS will catch on or what the ratings will be and that could be an interesting bit to watch.While it is nice for MLS to get exposure overseas, I think the league needs to spend a little more time building an audience in this country. [read post]

Coming on the heels of a very successful men's World Cup with never before seen fan interest in the US, a successful expansion franchise launch in Philadelphia this year and the opening of new stadia in New York and Philadelphia, MLS could rightly consider itself as well on the way to firmly establishing itself in the nation's sporting firmament. While it has stimulated some new interest, much of the interest has turned the television off when exposed to a bad product, which many MLS games not including Houston or New England remain.Beckham puts bodies in teh stadium, of this there is not doubt, but the MLS isn't keeping bodies in the stadium and Kartik is right about that.
