And even if you did find someone with standing to pursue the issue of whether the pardon eradicated the conviction, a conclusion that it didn’t would still leave the punishment for the conviction subject to the President’s full powers of pardon and reprieve, and thus likely to amount to nothing more than an advisory opinion.
