On May 5, 2011, the Government Accountability Office (“GAO”) released its study of mortgage servicers and foreclosures… I guess now that everyone and their brother-in-law have conducted such a study into the mortgages servicers’ maladroit, dishonest and criminal best practices, the GAO figured they couldn’t get in any trouble for piling on with more of the same.
