We've learned that the American Council of Learned Societies has awarded residential fellowships to two legal historians: Malick Ghachem (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and our own Mitra Sharafi (University of Wisconsin).Ghachem will be in residence at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study during academic year 2018-2019, working on a project titled "In the Name of the Colony: The Revolt against the Indies Company in Haiti, 1720-1725.
