William Dillon On December 4, 1981, William Dillon was convicted of first degree felony murder and was sentenced to life in prison by the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Court in Brevard County, Florida. 27 years later, on November 14, 2008, that same Court vacated Dillon's conviction and ordered a new trial based on DNA evidence which demonstrated his actual innocence.
