In preparation for Public Defender Stuff's special MLK Day Blawg Review #91, I've been following two specific stories this week as a sub-theme for exploring the issue of respect:The contempt jailing of Stephen Singer, the head PD in New Orleans.The "study" of sentencing differentials between clients with public defenders vs. private attorneys.So if anybody should feel compelled to blog about either issue (or both), I'd really appreciate it.
