  If the FCC concludes that it does have this authority, hopefully any FCC action that comes from this week’s Press Release will recognize that broadcasters cannot be asked to determine when an AI disclosure is needed – the most that they can be expected to do is ask a sponsor about AI use and rely on the sponsor’s disclosures, just as broadcasters do now when asking for the identity of the sponsor of a political ad.
