Foer-Morse, 49, of the 1200 block of Bridge Street, Spring City, previously pleaded guilty to theft offenses in New York, admitting to stealing $285,000 from a Manhattan law firm for which she once worked.While she was free on bail awaiting sentencing in the New York matter, Foer-Morse got a job as a paralegal with the law firm High Swartz on East Airy Street. Mark Herrmann at Drug and Device Law complains that the legal fees were $4.9M on a claim that was only worth $4,000 (also Ted Frank at Point of Law) So with that kind of risk, why didn't Merck try to settle that particular claim? [read post]
