Lenard, supra.The Court of Appeal concluded the introductory part of the opinion by explaining that at Lenard’s trial, awitness from Fifth Third testified at trial that the bank does not have a “cash for deeds” program, and that the bank has never done business with Ryan Smith, Richard Kelly, or Richard Lenard.The jury found Lenard guilty on both counts. Indeed, one reason why Edwards was convicted in the second round was because he lied to a bank because, when getting a loan, he failed to tell the bank that he had previously been convicted for lying to a bank in order to get a loan! [read post]
