The American Bar Association earlier this week responded to Iowa Senator Charles  Grassley who has questioned whether law schools are providing sufficient value to students and particularly whether schools often offer merit-based scholarships simply to lure highly credentialed students and to boost the law schools’ rankings, only to later renege on scholarship money and leave students in a financial lurch.
