The Department is currently conducting PFAS cleanup assessments at the nearly 700 DOD installations and National Guard locations where PFAS was used or may have been released and expects to have completed all initial evaluations by the end of 2023.Last month, EPA and DOD research efforts also expanded testing capabilities to detect more types of PFAS in various environmental media (soil, groundwater, etc.).
