"According to the findings of a new study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association(JAMA), elderly African Americans face a greater risk of suffering bedsores or pressure ulcers as a result of nursing home neglect.The researchers, from the University of Iowa, found that from 2003 to 2008 African Americans were at a significantly increased risk of suffering from pressure sores or decubitus ulcers as compared to white residents.
