On four separate indictments, 17 individuals, most of which were residents in Brooklyn, New York, were arrested and charged with health care fraud and money laundering, for allegedly participating in a $3 million scheme defrauding private insurances with no-fault plans. 12 durable medical equipment retail companies in South Brooklyn that were operated by the 17 defendants were thoroughly searched, and company bank accounts seized of its assets.
