  I haven't seen the ads, but from the description in this story, they appear to be fairly shrewd in that they are more of an advertisement for the legal services of the Scruggs Katrina Group than an attack on Dale, who happens merely to be the bogeyman used in these ads (along with insurance companies, of course).
