But my wife says, sure, read the Times; but obviously, they are pricing the quality of the content - writers like Warner - on the assumption that you're not paying full home subscription price, but instead on the basis of what they can get, and anticipate into the future that they can get, for the fractional percent of revenues generated by on-line ads; hence the proliferation of writers and reporting of Warner's quality (-not).
