A week ago, in Soccer Franchise Socks It to Bridge Users, I noted the decision by the Delaware River Port Authority to divert some of its funds to financing the construction of a soccer stadium complex in the city of Chester, and explained why I objected to the use of bridge tolls for purposes other than the maintenance, repair, upgrading, or construction of the bridge or projects designed to alleviate the impact of the bridge on surrounding areas.
