The state appealed to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and with the help of Kit Walsh of the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard Law School, we filed an amicus brief arguing that the trial judge got it right, and that a search warrant is needed before police can track a person's every movement for an extended period of time.
