Contrary to section 1 of the Fraud Act 2006 I’m no expert on English law, but the judge’s decision in dismissing the prosecution was sound, for the reasons the judge gives: It shouldn’t be up to secular courts to determine the truth or falsehood of these sorts of religious claims, or even the sincerity or insincerity of the religious leaders who make such claims.
