Last month 81-year old Elaine Kaufman, the owner of New York City's legendary restaurant aptly named Elaine's (you know, the restaurant mentioned in Billy Joel's song "Big Shot": "They were all impressed with your Halston Dress and the people you knew at Elaine's"), died and left the bulk of her estate, including the restaurant itself, to the long time manager of the restaurant, Diane Becker.
