View the article here09/21/2007A Waldron police officer whose conduct was deemed unbecoming an officer resigned from the department.Gerald Heifner resigned a few days after an accusation of rape was levied against him Aug. 26.Waldron Police Chief David Miller said Thursday an Arkansas State Police investigation found that the sexual relations Heifner had with a 21-year-old woman were consensual and not rape, as originally alleged.
